Fast Bank is the main partner of the Armenian-Austrian cultural event “Music Through Centuries.”

With the general partnership of Fast Bank and the initiative of the “Temple of Arts” NGO, the large-scale Armenian-Austrian cultural event “Music Through Centuries” will take place on May 31, 2020, in the area adjacent to the Garni Temple. The event will feature musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, who will perform together on the same stage for the first time under the direction of maestro Eduard Topchyan. The “Music Through Centuries” event is being held within the framework of the visit of Austrian political representatives to Armenia.
The vision of the founder and author of the project, Ararat Mghdsyan, and co-founder Gladstone Mahib, boils down to a musical journey through the centuries. The event program reveals a musical history stretching from ancient sounds to the classical works of Mozart and Khachaturian, uniting the cultural and artistic traditions of Austria and Armenia on one stage.
Special guests of the event, Inga and Anush Arshakyan, will perform exclusive, never-before-seen compositions, conveying to the audience the vital breath of Armenian musical art. Famous violinists Johannes Tomböck and Julia Genge will also perform during the evening.
Ararat Mghdsyan, founder of the “Temple of Arts” NGO and author of the project, noted that the event has diplomatic significance and goes beyond the usual concert format. “Together with our Austrian partners, we have been visiting Armenia for years on various projects, and the Austrian partners loved Armenian culture very much. We thought of creating a project that would be a bridge between the two states, the two cultures and could show the similarities. We are very happy to cooperate with Fast Bank, we are glad that there are companies in Armenia that support similar cultural events and projects,” he said.
Vienna Philharmonic violinist Johannes Tomböck also emphasized that this project will be an interesting experience for him: “It is a very interesting project for me: to play together with musicians with whom I have never played before, who have a completely different musical culture, who come from a completely different environment. Aram Khachaturian’s music is especially interesting to me. I have known him since childhood, I have always listened to his works, and now seeing its origins is very interesting for me,” the musician said.
By the way, part of the proceeds from the event will be directed to supporting the needs of children displaced from Artsakh.
Gladstone Mahib, co-founder of the “Temple of Arts” NGO, also spoke about the importance of a living dialogue between cultures, considering it a source of mutual inspiration. “For me, this project symbolizes an important point of connection, a space where the cultural layers of the two countries come together. Despite their differences, they are connected by deep historical foundations and a common vision for the future. This is a living dialogue between cultures, based on respect, sincere curiosity and mutual inspiration. The concert program itself is truly unique. Its sound in the embrace of mountains and ancient architecture creates a unique atmosphere that is both majestic and intimate.”
Tickets for the “Music Through Centuries” event are available on the FastTicket platform. The event is also organized in partnership with ArLeAМ, part of the Badalyan Brothers Group of Companies, and Fast Shift.
