A new bookstore, souvenir kiosk, and cafe have opened at the Matenadaran with the support of Fast Bank
With the support of Fast Bank, a new bookstore, souvenir kiosk and cafe have been officially opened in the Matenadaran, completing the new infrastructure for visitors. The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Zhanna Andreasyan, Chairman of the Board of Fast Bank, benefactor Vahe Badalyan, the Matenadaran administration, partners and guests.
According to Ara Khzmalyan, Director of the Mesrop Mashtots Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, the new environment is an organic continuation of the impressions and inspirations received in the exhibition halls. “Whatever the field, whatever the corner, whatever the level of activity of the Matenadaran, it must be luxurious, it must be modern, up-to-date, in a word, it must be equivalent to the treasures that are kept in this structure. "A great friend of the Matenadaran, Mr. Vahe Badalyan, and I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Badalyan family, Fast Bank, for their constant presence in supporting our ambitious, our courageous initiatives. It is no coincidence that the first name on the Honor Roll of the Matenadaran is the name of the Badalyan family, it is no coincidence that the Badalyan family was awarded the Matenadaran's Benefactor Gold Medal, because this family participated in replenishing our manuscript collections," he said.
The bookstore presents Matenadaran publications, books on Armenology, history, art and culture. At the souvenir kiosk, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase special products inspired by the Matenadaran collections, Armenian manuscripts and miniatures. Within the framework of the initiative, Matenadaran collaborates with a number of leading companies and creative brands in their fields. The cafe section will become a continuation of the Matenadaran's cultural environment, offering visitors a comfortable space for relaxation and socializing after a visit to the museum.
It is worth recalling that Fast Bank has donated 50 million drams to the project to modernize the Matenadaran's infrastructure and create new services for tourist visits.
Fast Bank is continuously expanding its range of services, offering 24/7 fast, convenient and secure financial solutions in Yerevan and all regions of Armenia.
